TRUST CHIEF EXECUTIVE JOINS GOVERNING BODY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS
Alliance Trust today announces the
appointment of its chief executive Alan Harden to the governing body of the University of St Andrews. He will join the University Court for
a four year term until August 2011 and will serve on the Investments and
Collections committee.
The Court currently consists of 25 members
and is responsible for the overall governance of the University by developing
strategies to achieve its long-term financial, human and physical objectives.
As a member of Court, Alan Harden will attend
five Court meetings a year and participate in additional committees as well as playing
a visible role in key academic and social events in the University calendar.

Butler, Secretary and Registrar for the University of St Andrews,
said: “The Court is delighted Alan has agreed to serve and we look forward to
working with him.”
Commenting on his appointment, Alan Harden
added: “It is both an honour and a privilege to be appointed to the University of St Andrews Court.
I am delighted to be able to continue the relationship Alliance Trust has with
the University and I look forward to building on the success of the institution
through my new role.”
