ALLIANCE TRUST SAVINGS OPENS UP ITS ADVISER CENTRE

·        www.alliancetrust.co.uk/adviser - direct link to dedicated homepage

Alliance Trust Savings today announced that it has improved its adviser centre, offering professional advisers a direct link to a fully interactive site incorporating pension planning tools, product factsheets and personalised access to its technical pensions team’s expertise.

Advisers looking for technical solutions to pension planning can now draw on the specialist knowledge of Alliance Trust's panel of Pensions Technical Specialists at the click of a mouse. Advisers can submit questions and will receive a direct response from one of the pensions experts. The most commonly asked questions received on the site will be posted online for other members to view, creating a library of FAQs that advisers can refer to. In order for every adviser to make full use of the posted FAQs, they will be made generic and will not contain any personal information.

The new site also enables advisers to create Full SIPP illustrations for new and existing clients, for both contributions and transfers, with the Pension Illustration Service tool. This allows advisers to save and print illustrations as well as to retrieve and edit previously created illustrations.

Advisers looking to suggest new products to their clients will be able to access detailed information and literature on all of Alliance Trust's products. Through the site, advisers will be able to apply for any of the Select Products offered by Alliance Trust, if given the authority, on behalf of their clients. From the site, they will also be able to link to Alliance Trust’s online share dealing platform.

Members will also have the chance to view and download the video presentations of Alliance Trust's recent adviser roadshows, which looked at the global economy, technical pension planning and how to take full advantage of tax benefits ahead of the changes in tax regulations for the coming year.

Those who register will also receive e-newsletters with full technical updates for advisers including the latest news and how it might affect their clients' pension arrangements.

Kelly O’Donnell, Managing Director of Distribution at Alliance Trust Savings, said, “Taking on board adviser feedback, we have improved access to the adviser centre and opened up further communication channels for advisers to interact with Alliance Trust Savings. With a technical team in place, and an increasing number of Q&As posted online, advisers can tap into our expertise and make full use of Alliance Trust Savings’s specialist understanding of the pensions market. Alliance Trust Savings’ team has very broad experience in the sophisticated use of pensions and is used to dealing with all kinds of investments within retirement portfolios, including commercial property and unquoted shares. Now we have made it even easier for advisers to draw on our experience and plan with further efficiency and ease. Our adviser centre offers members access to a wealth of invaluable information that can help them with pension planning, and ultimately improve the service they are able to offer their clients."
