ALLIANCE TRUST APPOINTS KEVIN CRAIG AS NEW INVESTMENT MANAGER

International investment and financial services group Alliance Trust has today appointed Kevin Craig as Investment Manager, Global Emerging Markets. Kevin has extensive expertise in emerging market equities and will play a key role in continuing to build on Alliance Trust’s involvement in Asia Pacific markets, as well as expanding its presence into other emerging markets.

Kevin joins Alliance Trust from BlackRock where he was a director and investment grade corporate bond analyst for its Global Fixed Income Research Team. He has ten years’ experience in emerging markets having joined BlackRock in 1998 as a portfolio manager on the Emerging Markets Equity Team where he was responsible for Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa. He then went on to cover Latin America and was the manager of the BlackRock Emerging Markets Fund.

Alliance Trust Chief Investment Officer Katherine Garrett-Cox said, “Kevin brings with him a wealth of investment knowledge and experience. His appointment will create new capability for us to build upon existing emerging markets ability within Asia and to expand into new areas. Kevin began his career in investment management at Dunedin Fund Managers. This subsequently merged with Edinburgh Fund Managers, where he worked in the emerging markets team.
