Alliance Trust Asset Management, the newly
formed subsidiary of Alliance Trust, has today appointed Benedict Lawson as Director,
Business Development. Benedict, who joins from Seven Investment Management
(7IM), will report to Edward Troughton, Managing Director, Distribution and
will work closely with him to help build and expand the asset management
business across a range of products and services. These will draw on the
existing strengths of Alliance Trust’s established and experienced investment
teams.
Benedict, who has over 15 years of
investment experience, helped found 7IM in 2001 where his main role involved
the development of institutional investment management and wrap solutions for
IFAs and high net worth investors. Prior to this, Benedict was a senior
investment advisor with Barclays Stockbrokers where he was responsible for
advisory stockbroking services.
