ROB BURGESS APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR, ALLIANCE TRUST SAVINGS

 

Alliance Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Burgess. Rob will join Alliance Trust Savings on 16 February 2009 and, following the necessary regulatory approvals, will become Managing Director with immediate effect.  

 

Alliance Trust Savings is a subsidiary of Alliance Trust PLC, a FTSE 100 company and the UK's largest generalist investment trust. Alliance Trust Savings provides investment administration and dealing services, allowing customers to deal and manage their investments online, by telephone or by post.

 

Rob Burgess brings extensive retail financial services experience to Alliance Trust Savings. Rob has previously managed the retail and business banking sectors of Lloyds TSB Scotland and subsequently was regional director for its retail banking business in London and the South East. Between these roles he was Strategic Future Business Programme Director for Lloyds TSB’s subsidiary, Scottish Widows. More recently he was Executive Director, Sales and Distribution, for Thomas Cook UK.
