Shona Dobbie - Head of Research Centre
Shona Dobbie is Head of the Research Centre and Chief Economist at Alliance Trust.
She began her career as a lecturer in economics at the University of Swansea before joining Alliance Trust as an economics and investment analyst. After several years experience as Chief Economist, Shona was appointed as head of the newly established Research Centre in March 2006, taking responsibility for the provision of economic, social and demographic analysis to support Alliance Trust’s business and projects.
Shona has a PhD in Economics from Imperial College, London University, and an MBA (Distinction) from Edinburgh Business School. In March 2008, she was appointed as an Honorary Lecturer in the Economics Department at Dundee University.
