Alliance Trust and Witan to combine to form Alliance Witan

The board of Alliance Trust have announced to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) the intention to combine with Witan Investment Trust. Under the proposed transaction, Witan’s assets will be transferred to Alliance Trust, in exchange for Witan shareholders receiving an issue of shares in the newly renamed company Alliance Witan.
